The Rules

  1. Lonely: A cell with only 0 or 1 neighbors dies — it needs friends!
  2. Happy: A cell with 2 or 3 neighbors is just right and stays alive.
  3. Crowded: A cell with 4 or more neighbors dies — too packed!
  4. Born: An empty spot with exactly 3 neighbors springs to life.
