Overview
Rockford FC Academy operates as a subsidiary of Umoja, the 501(c)(3) nonprofit I co-founded. As President, I lead the organization's direction, growth strategy, and day-to-day operations — but I'm also hands-on as a coach on the training ground.
The academy runs structured training programs across five age groups, each with dedicated coaching staff, training schedules, and competitive calendars. The U23 adult team adds another dimension, creating a clear pathway from youth development to higher-level competition within a single organization.
Beyond coaching, I drive the academy's marketing and growth strategy, manage operational resources, and ensure the organization stays true to its mission: making quality soccer development accessible to every young athlete in the Rockford area, regardless of financial situation.
The digital platform I built handles player registration, roster management, schedule coordination, and parent communication — giving our coaches and administrators the tools to focus on what matters most: developing players.
